Patrolman Michael R. Gero has worked as a Police Officer since May of
2005. He began his law enforcement career with the St. Johnsbury
Police Department before joining the Hardwick Police Department in
October 2007.
Patrolman Gero has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Lyndon
State College. He is certified instructor by the Vermont Police Academy
in Monadnock and VCJTC Defensive Tactics. Officer Gero is also
certified by the Vermont Police Academy as an instructor in Tactical
Ground Fighting. He has also taught self-defense courses to students
at Hazen Union High School.
In 2008, Officer Gero received a Commendation for his efforts in
apprehending two subjects wanted in an armed robbery in Woodbury.
